“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10
Sometimes I just don’t want to grow weary. I mean I don’t want to be so tired. But God is not telling me here to watch out for being tired. He’s telling me to not grow weary in doing good. And sometimes me wanting to not be so tired is a big threat to my willingness to keep on with the doing good. I need to be reminded.
Do not grow weary in cleaning the bathroom.
Do not grow weary when you hear people say, “Can we make up a recipe?”
Do not grow weary in cleaning up water color supplies.
Do not grow weary in hearing about the dreams they think they might have tomorrow night.
Do not grow weary in making dinner.
Do not grow weary in cleaning dishes.
Do not grow weary in explaining everything you know about emergency vehicles.
Do not grow weary when you see that your bedroom has been converted to their new house.
So then, as we have opportunity (ALL THE TIME) let us do good to everyone.
