Not everything was ready in time for Christmas. It’s true! I have a nice pile of things that didn’t quite get finished up in time and a larger pile of things that never got started. We found great gifts to replace all my handmade ideas, and the girls loved them!
Thank God, he didn’t wait until we were all ready to send Jesus. Thank God that we can celebrate the good news that He has come to rescue us even when the house is a mess before any of the fun begins on Christmas morning.
All our joy, all the carols we sing, all the twinkling lights on the tree, it’s all a shadow. He came. God really came. His work on the cross is finished. Once for all time. He will come again. Our joy will be full. Behold, the dwelling place of God shall be with man!
